Akili was recognized as one of the Dallas Fort Worth Top 100 Places to Work by The Dallas Morning News. With its first year in the program, Akili ranked in 10th place for the Small Company category.

Made up of 100 companies, the Top 100 Places to Work was designed to identify, recognize and honor the top places of employment in the DFW area. Companies across DFW entered the employee survey process to determine the Top Places to Work for the Small, Medium Size and Large company categories. With a record number of entries this year (330 firms employing 154,197 workers in the DFW area), it was proven that not just any mediocre organization could enter and place. All 100 winners are extraordinary employers.

“We are casual about everything but our work,” CEO Shiek Shah said. “Wine and Whiskey Wednesdays, an unlimited vacation policy, office Ping-Pong and hoverboard tournaments, etc.”

Akili fosters a strong culture of investing in employees and developing an environment that values them as individuals, provides the support of a team and enables employees to purse their career goals without restraint. Akili’s vision is to create a work environment that gives employees the opportunity, encouragement, and recognition they need to truly excel at what they do.

“There is an entrepreneurial spirit about how we go about our work,” one employee said. “The people genuinely want to solve problems for our clients and for Akili, there is a freedom to step in and own various parts of the process.”
